Founder Jonathan Garcia grew up around the trades, learning the fundamentals of electrical and roofing work from his father, who spent over a decade in each field. That early exposure shaped a strong work ethic and respect for doing things the right way—values that continue to define Blackout Electric today.
At just 19 years old, Jonathan began his career with SolarCity, one of the nation’s leading solar companies at the time (now Tesla Energy). His drive and leadership quickly set him apart. By 21, he was promoted to foreman, and soon after relocated to Nevada as a project manager—the youngest to oversee more than 60 installation crews.
After concluding his time with Tesla at age 31, Jonathan transitioned into solar sales. With firsthand experience across installation, service, and sales, he recognized a major gap in the industry: homeowners needed honest guidance, not pressure tactics.
In 2023, he founded Blackout Electric AZ LLC to provide full-service solar and electrical solutions across the Valley—built on transparency, craftsmanship, and trust.

Miguel Rojo is an experienced Solar PV Installer and Project Manager with over 10 years in the solar industry. He leads many of Blackout Electric’s solar projects, guiding teams to deliver consistent, high-quality results with efficiency and precision.
Miguel brings extensive hands-on experience from working across California, Texas, and Arizona, giving him a deep understanding of diverse systems, codes, and installation practices. After years on the road, he returned to Arizona to be closer to his daughters and proudly embraces life as a girl dad. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking and is especially known for his seafood dishes. His leadership, experience, and commitment to excellence make him a vital part of the Blackout Electric team.

With more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the solar industry, Fabian Rodriguez serves as Director of Operations, bringing extensive expertise in solar installation, operational leadership, and team development. His deep understanding of the industry, combined with decades of field experience, allows him to lead projects with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Before stepping into his current role, Fabian spent six years as a Branch Manager, where he successfully oversaw multiple installation crews and managed several departments. His leadership helped streamline operations, improve team performance, and ensure projects were completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards.
As Director of Operations, Fabian is responsible for overseeing daily operations, optimizing processes, supporting field teams, and driving operational excellence across the organization. He is passionate about mentoring employees, fostering a culture of accountability, and delivering exceptional results for every customer.
Fabian’s commitment to quality craftsmanship, strong leadership, and continuous improvement has earned him the trust of both his team and the customers he serves.
